New Additions

We have been wanting to get a Meyer Lemon Tree for some time now. Well, we finally got one! We also purchased a Dwarf Lime Tree and a Dwarf Naval Orange Tree. All three were purchased on-line at Spring Hill Nursery. They had $25. off a $50. dollar order so we decided it was a good time to get them.

They arrived yesterday and were put in new pots this morning.

They will spend a couple of weeks in the front room with the Bay Laurel and then taken outside. Next winter they will most like live in "The Italian's" office upstairs.

  4. Sue, I'm really not sure. I think sometime next year.

Jane. I think they will be a nice addition to our plants here..and fun too!

Ginny, These are dwarf trees that will be kept in pots and brought inside in the winter.

Rachel, I'm sure they will have another offer soon. You really should get them if you have a place for them in the winter.

  5. I would love to have one too, but the only good sun we get in the winter is right over the heat vent. Even my aloe plant is struggling there.

  6. I've always wanted one, but we have hardly any southern exposure in the house except the kids' room.

  7. Daphne, Too bad, I don't think that one would survive there.

Erin, This house is older and has more sunny windows then anyone would like to clean!

  8. I love love love Meyer lemons. I may have to try again, that offer is tempting! Of course, it might be cheaper and easier to just order a box of Meyer lemons from a citrus grower every winter. Plan to spend a lot of time with them when they are blooming, the scent is heavenly.

  9. Ali, I think that you should get another one. It will be so much better to get the lemons from your own tree. I will definitely make sure that we enjoy the scent of the blossoms.

  10. I love that you bring you pets, I mean plants, indoors in winter :)
    Such love and care!
They look beautiful in those pots although I'm sure before long they'll have outgrown them, they look really healthy and glossy
