    1. Sandy, it took years to find a stove that had everything I wanted and could afford! There will be lots of cooking going on around here!!

  2. YOU DID IT TO ME AGAIN!!!! Someday you'll be old, too. Probably not as old as me, but then nobody is ;-)

I had what was probably about that same year in a Jenn Air counter top unit. I loved the interchangeable burner/grill, and the downdraft exhaust. If I had a pretty new one like yours, I'd probably never cook. I wouldn't want to get it dirty.

    1. Ha! Maybe some day!!! The old range top hardly worked and the interchangable parts didn't work at all! I was going to get another Jenn Air, but the reviews on it were not good at all!

I'm going to cook up a storm and get this new range nice and dirty and send you a pic!!

  3. Robin, congrats on getting a new stove. I don't even know what a duel fuel stove means but I suspect it's good. I am nursing my old 1965 slide in unit for a few more years before having to replace it. When I do replace it, I sure would like to revert back to a gas stove. I just like them better. than the electric one I have now. Everything else in the kitchen has been replaced except for the stove. Well, except for the garbage disposal. When that went bad, I just tossed it out because I don't like them. I just think grinding up food and flushing it down the drain is a bad idea.

Have a great new stove day.

    1. David, A dual fuel has a gas cook-top and electric ovens. It's the best of both worlds. I know what your talking about with the garbage disposal....one must be very careful about grinding up food or it will clog the pipes. Don't ask me how I know :)

    1. Sue, that old range was here when I bought this house. It must have been 30 years old. The oven worked well, but the cooktop hardly worked at all. So, it was time for a new one!

  6. In my last house I LOVED my Jenn Air. I didn't have the oven, but just the stovetop. I so miss being able to exchange what is on top. Especially miss the grill and the griddle. I can't even use a double cast iron one on my stove. Each of my burners is different (something I hate). So it would be uneven heat. And I so miss the down draft. I wish I had a vent with a hood. I suppose my current one is so much more efficient (especially not having a vent to the outside in the winter), but I still miss it. I hope you love your new stove. It does look very pretty. And that middle burner looks perfect for a long cast iron griddle.

    1. Daphne, All of the grates are even and continuos, one of the things I was looking for. The middle burner does have a interchangable griddle for it.

We have a hood that is vented to the outside. I really think it's a good thing. Most builders will give you the option of venting to the outside. I really don't think it affects efficency all that much.

  7. You'll really be cooking now or should I say the Italian will? No you do just as much as he does.

I have gas burners on my cooktop, 5 burners. The two wall ovens are electric convection ovens. Don't know how I ever managed with one.

    1. Marcia, yes, we both do about the same amount of cooking. So, you have the best of both worlds too! The large oven does have convection. I really like using the convection. I think "The Italian" is afraid of it though. Maybe he will start using convection with this range since it has the "Easy Convect" system

    1. Thanks Rachel, I really wish that it was available in black since the stainless shows finger prints. Oh well, this way I will know when it's dirty!

  9. Wow! Super nice. I have a dual oven and I love it! Mine is black, and it shows all the dust that floats around the room and it is impossible to get rid of! Never can win I guess!

  12. Nice looking stove, I can't wait to get some new appliances for our house. I bet your food will even taste better on it, kind of like I think my car drives better when it is clean and had an oil change.

  15. That's one gorgeous hunk of cooking real estate! I hope you love it! I have come to love the convection feature on mine, but I still wish I could have had double ovens! Enjoy!

  16. Great new stove!! We contemplated a very similar model when we replaced our electric smooth top several months ago. We ended up just getting a slide-in dual fuel (single oven but the bottom drawer is also a warming drawer) with 4 gas burners (different BTUs on each). We're really happy with the dual fuel capability. Hope you enjoy yours!!
