I have to say that I really enjoy the new Community Garden much better then the old location. The new site has a real feeling of Community. I spend a lot of time sitting under my umbrella looking down the row of tomatoes.
What a view!
These are some of the happiest tomatoes I have grown! Most of the plants are loaded with green tomatoes!
I'm glad all that work has paid off.
ReplyDeleteThanks Daphne, Things are looking good so far!
DeleteRobin: Those are healthiest and happiest tomatoes I've seen all year! You are going to be rolling in the "sauce"!
ReplyDeleteLynda, Those are the stockiest tomato plants I have ever grown. I sure hope it's the year of the tomato!!
DeleteWhat's with us staring at our gardens? I could spend the entire day just looking, and the first thing I do in the morning is open the drapes to see how much the garden grew overnight :-D
ReplyDeleteI compared photos of my "shed tomatoes" from 2011 to those of today, and it looks like it is definitely going to be a tomato year! The plants are huge this year, in comparison.
Granny, I could sit there all day and stare at those plants! I sure hope your right about a good tomato year. Last year was just horrible!
DeleteLooks wonderful! I do hope it's going to be good tomatoe year too. Mine are very green and heavy but not that many tomatoes formed yet, but then they mostly late varieties.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenny, I sure hope that we have a great tomato harvest this year!
DeleteAll your hard work paid off, bountiful harvest is near.
ReplyDeleteYes, then lots and lots of canning!
Deletewow! thats fantastic! all the rain has done some good...we are absolutely parched. great work on the maters!
ReplyDeleteOFG, we haven't had any rain for some time. Maybe tomorrow. But, the tomatoes are doing well!
DeleteRobin,
ReplyDeleteThose are some mighty fine looking tomatoe plants!!! What is your secret? Do you do anything special after they start growing?
"The Italian" says, it's because I love them so much :)
DeleteHi Robin, Your tomato plants look just wonderful! I am glad that you take time to sit and enjoy them. Nancy
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy, I think I've been doing more sitting then working lately!!
DeleteOur tomatoes (as everything else) is progressing at a snail's pace. It's not just so much rain but lack of warmth and now winds battering everything.
ReplyDeleteWe compared last year's harvesting to this and had harvested lots of things that still haven't got going at all this year. EWe're hoping for a good September and October to give things time to crop!
I sure hope that weather gives you a break soon! I'll send some warm wishes your way.....hopefully that will help!
DeleteThose plants look beautifully vigorous and happy, I do like the idea of them being a 'view'.
ReplyDeleteThanks Liz, I just love that view!
DeleteYour tomatoes look so healthy, I hope you have a bumper crop this year!
ReplyDeleteThanks Erin, that's what we are praying for!
