Now I'm going to show Erin mine :)

Here's my compost bins and my fork. I was never able to get the "Little Helper" to pose for a picture with our fork.....so here it is. The fork was my grandfather's. He passed at 96 and farmed his entire life. I have no idea how old it is.

  2. Great Bins! And that is a great fork with some great gardening history behind it, I bet! And I love your gardens in the background, everything looks very green and lushly growing!

  4. MojVrt, Erin & EG: Well, I just took a better look at my fork. It's made of brass! I just took it out of the shed this year. Now that I've been using it for a couple of months you can see that's it's brass. We estimate it's about my age 5Oish. I figured that I better keep in the shed from now on and only bring it out when I need it.

  5. Oh, my. You're one of those people with a real compost bin ;-) I used to have one of those. Back when I had horse poo.

The fork looks just like mine, but somewhere along the line they went from brass to plastic!
