This is one more of our favorite Christmas treats that I wanted to share. I got this recipe from a friend in Canada over 20 years ago. It is absolutely my favorite!!

  2. Cool a bit, then spread on top of middle layer
  3. Cut in to small squares....and Enjoy!!
I promise...this is the last recipe for Holiday Goodies....I don't want everyone to gain too much weight!!

  1. That's an interesting take on 'millionaire's shortbread' which has become a new scottish tradition. Here's a recipe for that.

  2. Yum! Seems like my Canadian friend has made something like that for me.

Looks like it will be bread and water or really water and water for me after the new year!

  3. I just wanted to ask if you are trying to get us all to gain some extra weight. :)
Great pictures, and I am sure it was very delicious cake.

  4. oh my gosh... I'm gaining weight just looking at those!!!!

Thanks for sharing... into my recipe file they go!

I'm thinking about making your English Muffin recipe this morning!

  5. NO! Just NO! I refuse to give in....I couldn't hardly get into my jeans this morning! Darn, they sure look good.

The verification word is hopro. When I first looked at it, I thought it said hippo, and was making a nasty comment about me ;-)

  6. My sweet tooth is throbbing just looking at this!

  7. Thanks everyone, this is definitely a great recipe if I must say so myself. I hope that some of you have the time to make it and enjoy it. I don't want to be the only one, with the exception of Granny, whose jeans are getting tight!
